Defeated. He just lost everything. His wife left him. Took everything they owned with her, including the children. Lost his job. Started drinking again.
He told me about his life after he noticed that I took a picture of him. after we parted I remembered: I never asked for his name... Title is simply month and year this was taken in. Critiques
The perspective and hard lines give a feeling of desolation and dispair that seems to surround and enclose the soft lines of the figure. Great composition.
Without even knowing the story, my heart goes out to this person.
Pictures of people in the midst of hard times are everywhere. This one says mountains to me about what many are going through with everything in the mess it is at this time.
It's concise, to the point and non-cliche.
